What is a podcast?

  • A podcast is a pre-produced segment of audio available for downloading and listening to on demand, like a recorded radio show. You can listen to podcasts on many media platforms, devices and online.

How can I listen to The Movie Show Podcast?

Decide how you would like to listen and follow the instructions:

  • Online through a web browser; with any internet-connected device by going to The Movie Show podcast page and selecting an episode to listen to.
  • On smartphones and devices; Most smartphones and devices come loaded with the software you need to listen to podcasts on your device. Apple devices such as iPhones and iPads have the Podcast app, iMacs have the Itunes app. Android and Google devices have Google Podcasts and other downloadable applications like Stitcher. You can open any of these applications and search any variation of “KSL News Radio Movie Show” and you will find our podcast, usually under “Movie Show Matinee,”  You can select individual shows to listen to, subscribe for automatic downloads as soon as they become available, rate, like, and share from these applications.
    • What if you don’t see this app on your device? Open your devices application store and search for the app of your choice. You might have deleted it or never had it downloaded in the first place. Once you search, select and download the application you would like to use. The best part, most podcast applications are free and easy to use!
  • The KSL Newsradio App; allows audiences to listen live or on-demand and also provides breaking news notifications, traffic and weather updates, and live studio feed of our broadcasts. The app is available in both Apple and Android stores. 

How Can I join the Movie Show Club?

The Movie Show Club members get exclusive perks like access to VIP movie screenings, movie show swag, text updates, and more. You can sign up online or by texting “Movie” to 57500.

To text, open your phones Short Messaging Service application (regular messaging charges from your carrier apply). In the “to” section type 57500, in the “message” section type “Movie” and hit the send button.

Once the message is sent, you will receive a text asking to confirm your enrollment to our club, reply with “Y” for yes to confirm. You will then receive a text with an online link to a short form (the above form) to gather your information for our club (name, email, address, and such). Make sure you scroll down on the link to find the form. Once you submit your info, the station has all they need to send you your membership card and updates!

How can I win on The Movie Show?

There are often three chances to win with The Movie Show each week! During the 9’oclock hour of the broadcast, you can win by commenting on our Movie News Trivia post on our Facebook page. Answer correctly to be eligible to win a prize at random! Be the lucky caller during Telephone Torture, during the 11o’clock hour. Join The Movie Show After Party on the KSL Newsradio Facebook page, comment, like, tag, and share throughout the episode’s following weekend for a chance to win.

Can I visit The Movie Show when they are broadcasting? 

Yes! The Movie Show broadcasts from a remote location every week that is announced on the radio during the show. You are welcome to come to the location and see the broadcast live. Often there is free KSL swag and discounted products/services by our remote sponsor. 

I thought Doug Wright Retired? 

Doug Wright is now semi-retired; you can still listen to him each Friday on The Movie Show, and watch him Sunday mornings at 9am on KSL 5 TV on Sunday Edition with Doug Wright.
